Well, this whole woodworking thing started when I was 16 years old. I ordered a guitar off of ebay, and it was in really rough condition. I was not prepared for this guitar to be in the shape that it was, but I had to either deal with the flaws, or learn to fix them. I'm the "learn to fix them" type of person. So after many hours of sanding off the coats of paint I got down to bare wood. That is when I knew that I was a woodworker. I was perplexed that wood grain could be so detailed and unique from piece to piece. After many hours of finishing and shaping the wood I was fiending for the next project I could test my new found skills on. Fast forward to today, I'm still in that same cycle. Finding the next project to work on is a perpetual thing in my life. I have made everything from guitars to wrist rests for keyboards. I have loved every moment of it.
Recently I have been able to actually make money off of the products I made. I have found a fantastic and supporting Reddit community https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/ that has kept me busy and fulfilled in life. The users on R/MK have kept me on my toes and they keep me occupied with more and more projects. I bet you are wondering what "product" that has kept me so busy. The "product" in question is palm (wrist) rests. You would think that a wrist rest is just a plank of wood, but it's so much more than that. It is everything from a taste of one's character, to an ergonomic place your palms can call home. The fact that I get so many users thanking me for making their ideas come to life is reason enough to keep me going( money is nice too : P). What really boosted production for me is when Evan from www.thevankeybaords.com contacted me to make a bulk order of rests for him. Being able to make rests for a company that I loved from before is such an honor. It has been a busy time in my life, but it's been fantastic. I'm so glad to be apart of such a great community.
